Professor Sunetra Gupta is responsible for developing epidemiological models of spread and evolution of pathogen populations, and conducting serological surveys to interrogate antigenic relationships between avian influenza strains with the aim of developing novel vaccines. Her area of expertise is mathematical modelling and vaccine development. She is Professor of Theoretical Epidemiology in Oxford.
