Sophie Hedges is a PhD student in antimicrobial residues (AMD) and mathematical modelling at the RVC. She is assessing the level, dose and timings of AMDs administered to chickens and, by incorporating mathematical models, simulating their effects on gut microbial dynamics and the presence of resistance genes.
