Shweta Sharma

Public health researcher
Jawaharlal Nehru University

Shweta Sharma’s primary research focus revolves around the health governance aspect of One Health and the challenges encountered in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) within low- and middle-income countries , both for animals and humans. Her work primarily centres on comprehending the implementation barriers that hinder the rollout of AMR national action plans in India, as well as exploring the intricacies of food safety and animal health inclusive policymaking. She seeks to gain a comprehensive understanding of the complexities surrounding One Health and AMR, and subsequently propose effective strategies and interventions to mitigate these challenges.
