                Université Libre de Bruxelles
Dr Marius Gilbert works primarily on the geography of poultry production and trade systems. He aims to map the current and future distribution of poultry farms and markets in order to provide baseline data to inform other models and decisions. His role in the Hub builds on over 10 years of research on the spatial epidemiology of avian influenza viruses in Asia, and on the global mapping of livestock numbers and production systems. He is an FNRS (Fund for Scientific Research) Senior Research Associate and leads the Spatial Epidemiology Lab. (SpELL) at ULB.
