Burhan Lehri

Burhan Lehri

Microbiologist and genomics researcher
London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine

Burhan Lehri works as a Research Fellow in the department of Infection Biology, at the London School Of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). His role focuses on combining molecular biology and genomic technologies in studying the zoonotic pathogen Campylobacter jejuni. This will lead to a greater understanding of transmission pathways and the development of antimicrobial resistance within the meat production networks. He will be combining this with poultry microbiome analysis as well as host genetics and antibiotic residue testing to identify potential intervention points within the poultry food chain.
