Professor Brendan Wren plays a lead role in research into food safety governance and innovation, particularly relating to Campylobacter. He is key in ensuring that sampling and storage procedures are standardised and genome analysis established as part of capacity building with partner institutes; also that simple interventions are tested with partner institutes. He is Professor of Microbial Pathogenesis and Dean of Faculty of Infectious and Tropical Diseases at LSHTM.
