Dr Psifidi is responsible for the genetic and genomic studies of host resistance to infectious disease, with an input into host-pathogen microbiome studies. Her areas of expertise include quantitative genetics, molecular genetics, functional genomics, immunogenomics, microbiome, and animal breeding. She is a quantitative geneticist working with different “omics” technologies to unravel the underlying genetic architecture and molecular mechanisms of disease resistance. She is a lecturer in clinical veterinary genetics at RVC.
