Akash Golaviya

Akash V. Golaviya

Veterinarian

Dr Akash V. Golaviya is a Senior Research Fellow for the Hub based at Anand Agricultural University (AAU). He is part of a research team working in different Hub areas including social science, pathogen characterisation and epidemiology, molecular microbiology, metagenomics, and AMR.

Dr Golaviya is a microbiologist in the veterinary field. As such, his research interests are in veterinary virology and bacteriology using molecular biology. He has worked with a range of veterinary microbes including Bovine Rotavirus, Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis, bacteriophages (Staphylococcus and E. coli phages), Staphylococcus, MRSA, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium, Bacillus, E. coli, E. Coli O15H7, Salmonella, Pseudomonas, Campylobacter and Dermatophytes species.
