Dr Alagesan Alagersamy is a Project Associate at the Poultry Disease Diagnosis and Surveillance Laboratory, in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu. In the Hub, he is working on cross sectional and longitudinal studies on diversity of food borne pathogens along different poultry value chains.

Dr Alagersamy has expertise in semiochemicals, plant-microbe interactions, tick and tick-borne pathogens. He also has three years of research experience in a Department of Biotechnology project entitled ‘Molecular approaches for the control of Odoiporus longicollis, a major pest of Banana’ at the Division of Crop Protection, National Research Centre for Banana (ICAR), Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India.
